Vellvette Box: Decmber Edition

Hello Girls :)

I was so happy when i saw the box when i returned home. I was super excited to open it, but then i am not soo happy with the products i received in the box....

I received NYX eye pencil, thats not bad but then its not a luxury brand and i really feel that they shall send in lip cream if they feel like sending NYX only. :P

Deluxe Creme Lipstick, thats not my kinda shade :( this will not suit me.

OK. I am Happy with Rainforest Shine Shampoo Sample, would love to try this. and i liked the perfume sample as well...

MY TAKE ON MAYBELLINE COLOR TATTOO 'BOLD GOLD:

I have been using gold on my eyes for all this festive season. I just love gold on my eyes. The product comes in a simple glass pot with a black twist up lid which prevents the gel-cream eyeshadow from drying out.

BOLD GOLD is a very Gorgeous shade i just love how it looks on the Lids, it goes very creamy when applied with fingers on the lid, its a shimmery gold shade. The product is worth for every rupee we pay for it. I must say that it is a CREASE-LESS eyeshadow. If we talk about pigmentaion, the one word that comes to mind is AWESOME,really it has very nice payoff of color. 

I find it very easy to apply it with fingers, i don't use brush to apply this eyeshdow, because i find it difficult to apply it evenly with a brush. Even the staying power is awesome, it stays for more than 10 hours without creasing or fading, i am saying 10 hrs because i have not tested it for more hours.

Overall, the eyeshadow is great in terms of pigmentation, staying power and texture. The color is great of this marriage and festive season as well, This color brightens up the eyes. You will really enjoy this product. For me it's a MUST HAVE GOLD SHADE :)

LAKME EYECONIC KAJAL: Review and Swatches

My Take on Lakme eyeconic Kajal:

The kajal comes in a turquoise colored package with full instructions about the application and removal of it. But they have not mentioned ingredients anywhere. The kajal is very slim and and travel friendly that you can carry it anywhere for touch ups. It comes in a retractable twist up black colored pencil.

Texture of kajal is really very nice, its smooth and glides on very easily on eyelids and eye lids as well. The staying power of kajal is very good, it actually stays on waterline for 5+ hours,and even its great on eyelids. And the shade of kajal is jet black, its very dark black, which is really good. I haven’t noticed any smudging of the kajal.

It’s a water proof kajal, so you will have to use a good makeup remover to remove it completely.

Pros of Lakme eyeconic Kajal:

• Dark black
• Staying power is awesome
• Availability
• Affordable

Cons of Lakme eyeconic kajal:

• Rally hard to remove witout a makeup remover

I just love to collect eye makeup stuff. I picked this CQ LiningImpressions eye pencil from some online store. I was not sure about the color as swatch was not clear on the website, but the color is exactly same as I thought of. It’s a beautiful Mehndi Green with very fine Golden glitter in it. This color will suit almost all skin tones. It’s kind of everyday color. One can wear it with white, black, green, golden, almost every color.

The pencil is super pigmented and super soft, it glides on the eye lids very easily and you get the desired color in single stroke. The color gives a very nice effect to the eyes. It really brightens up the eyes.

The eyeliner comes in a regular pencil that has to be sharpened. It’s a white pencil with a transparent cap. The color of the pencil base is same as the shade, which helps in easy identification. Make sure the tip is freshly sharpened if you want to apply it on the upper lash line. The staying power is really good, around 4 to 5 hours and smudge proof too. Sharpening is not a problem, and there is no wastage of product or breakage of tip etc.

The color pay-off is great and the lovely golden shimmer comes out so pretty on the eyes, it comes off with a cleanser or a makeup remover. And there was no irritation or allergies it didn’t even sting on my eyes.

The pencil is very soft and creamy so I noticed that it is not smudge proof.

• The packing is nice and simple, it’s a wooden pencil.

CONS OF CQ LiningImpressions eye pencil:

•  It is not smudge proof.

Overall, it’s a decent eye pencil with decent staying power. I just love the texture of the liner. The color pay off is awesome. its not a must have eye pencil.

White & Pink Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hello Girls,

I am super excited as I am going to do my first eye makeup tutorial. I really love to try bright colors on my eyes. And almost every girl likes the Color Pink, in the same way as we all love chocolates and flowers. This tutorial is very simple, try it out girls. You can do it in just ten minutes.

       Products used for the Tutorial:

• Jordana eye primer
• VOV large Makeup Palette
• MAC 12 color magic eyeshadow
• VOV hitech Eyeliner
• Jordana mascara

Step 1:

Apply eyeshadow Primer  on the entire lid.

Step 2:

Take a white matte eyeshadow and place that on your eyelid. Cover the eyelid properly till the crease.

Step 3:
First Take a matte medium pink and apply that on the crease of your eye.

Step 4:
If You are not satisfied with the color you can top it with a darker and deeper shade as I did here:

Step 5:
Take a matte white or minimum shimmery white eyeshadow and place this right under your eyebrows. And try to cover the nude area (on which eyeshadow has not been applied)

Step 6 (final step):

Apply your eyeliner, mascara and KAJAL and here you achieve the perfect look.
