My Take on Lacto Calamine Aloe Moisturiser:

The moisturiser comes in a Simple boring green colored bottle, there is nothing great or attractive about it. But the packaging is sturdy and preety much safe to keep in your handbag. Coming to the texture , the lotion has a sort of runny consistency. The moisturiser is baby pink in color, it takes a little time and effort to get completely absorbed into skin, but after applying the moisturiser my skin feels soft, fresh and gorgeous. It gives a matte finish to the skin, whenever i start applying this moisturiser rregularly, after a few weeks my skin becomes super soft and beautiful and i see the subtle glow on my face.

Amway Attitude lipstick in Red Coral ~ Review and Swatches

Few days back i saw a lipstick in my MIL'S dressing area , as usual i picked it with thought of swatching it, when i opened the lipstick i saw that it was almost over. But still i loved the color and tried to apply it with a lipstick brush.... and u wont believe i just loved the color . its a very nice red color, actually its a everyday red color, as the name says coral red which means not a dark, traditional red. This is a perfect red for those who are afraid of wearing red.

Product Description:

With premium ingredients like Vitamin E, Almond oil, Jojoba oil, in order to provide a rich moisturizing effect to your lips, lips appear full with creamy matt finish.

In addition these are enriched with sunscreen agents to protect lips against harmful UV rays of sun.

My take on Amway Attitude Red Coral Lipstick:

I quite liked the lipstick,the texture of lipstick is smooth and creamy, it glides on lips very easily. The lipstick is nicely pigmented and stays for good 3 to 3.5 hours. As i said earlier i shade is very nice, its a coral red shade which can be worn everyday with any sort of dress. I am definately going to buy this shade for myself. :)

Smooth and creamy texture.
Good staying power
Nicely pigmented
Sturdy Packaging

Cons:
 I need to find a amway representative to buy this.

My Take On Enliven Pro-V Ultra Hold Mousse:

By now i have used this product for 7-8 times and i quite liked it. I just love how it adds volume and texture to my hair, my hair look more defined when i use this mousse.

I apply the mousse even on my almost straight hairs (i have got done smoothing on my hair) and what i feel is that my hair look more on the straightened side when i apply this.

It gives a soft look to the hairs unlike those gels, It gives a nice bounce to the hair. I don't use it on regular basis, as it might be drying if used too much.

Pros:

Adds texture to the hair

Very much Affordable

Curls last for longer

Cons:

Might be drying if used too often.

Overall, Considering the price its a good pocket-friendly mousse.

BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION: REVIEW AND SWATCHES

I’m sure everyone has heard about Bourjois Healthy mix Foundation. I was really excited to try it out. It is supposed to be a long-wear, 16 hour foundation, with fruit extracts, including apricot, melon, apple and ginger that Bourjois claims are really good for your skin.

Price: Rs. 1120

Ingredients :

water , dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane , Butylene Glycol , PEG-10 Dilmethicone, Aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium chloride , disteardimonium Hectorite, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, dimethicone crosspolymer , Tocopheryl Acetate , Alcohol Denat , Parfum , Panthenol  Alcohol , Aluminum hyroxide , Silica

, Propylene Glycol , Sodium Hyaluronate , Glycerine , Pyrus malus (apple)

cucumis melo (melon) fruit extract , Zingiber officinale (ginger) root extract ,

Prunus armeniaca (apricot ) , Sorbic Acid . 

MY TAKE ON BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION:

The foundation has a nice, smooth texture. It’s not heavy or thick, and its not runny at all.The packaging is decent. I like that the foundation comes in a plastic bottle, it has a pump so you can pump out just the right amount of product,the packaging of the bottle is great as the bottom of the bottle moves up as you use it this makes it a lot easier to know when you are about to run out.

Bourjois Healthy Mix gives me medium coverage, which is nice, and I like how it doesn’t look cakey or patchy on the skin. The foundation is buildable, so you can do without a concealer for minor blemishes.It’s fairly lightweight so I think it will work really well as an everyday foundation.It does last a long time (all night) on my normal to dry skin. The foundation is available in 8 shades.

I especially like this the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation because of the slightly dewy finish that it gives me.It’s not mattifying, not completely dewy, but lies somewhere in between as far as finish goes. It looks very natural on skin.

PROS :

Last really long . 8/10 hrs

Good for skin .

Looks natural on skin .

Good Coverage .

Vacuum pump.

CONS :

Not all shades are available in India .

The Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation is definitely one i recommend. It’s the perfect dewy, lightweight foundation. It’s doesn’t cake up and leaves my skin looking and feeling fresh and more even toned.

Happy New year 2013

Hello All

Wishing you all a very happy new year 2013 from bottom of my heart. When i started this blog in mid of the year 2012, i never though this would be a much learning curve for me. I thought this would be a cake walk and i will pull it off easily. But seriously this ain't a easy job. I am still learning and loving it both at the same time.

Now MAKECHRIPS has been around 6 months old and we have created a family here. I just wanted to share the stats of last 6 months with you all.

Facebook -- 560 Likes (more than 90 % of whom are woman)

The above is good reflection of how year 2012 went for us and we expect much more from 2013. We will be adding lots of stuff on the site this coming year. I love the way the bloggers family has excepted me with both open arms. I feel we have a long way to go ahead, but when you have a good start, u get the motivation to move quickly. I hope you all will keep on loving me as you have always done. The last year was fun and new year will be full of Fun too.. With this hope i again wish you all a very happy new year 2013.

I am back, again with a lipstick review :) Now its Faces Go chic lipstick in shade Hazelnut. I just love to review lipsticks :)

My Take On Faces Go Chic Lipstick-Hazelnut:

All the ingredients are mentioned on the cardbox carton. Faces offers a wide range of colors to choose, Go chic range from faces i really affordable and good. The lipstick comes in a black shiney tube with a silver ring on it, i personally like the packaging, its sturdy and travel friendly.

 

The lipstick has a very smooth and creamy texture, it glides on lips very easily and is super pigmented. You just have to swipe it twice and you get an opaque coverage. it is not at all drying on lips, but still due to winter season i prefer wearing a lip balm before i apply lipstick, rest its totally up to you if you don't want to apply lip balm first.

 

The color is very beautiful light brown shade with a hint of peach in it. The shade is very wearable and classy. Inspite of the fact that the lipstick is smooth and creamy it doesn't bleed or get transferred on glasses and spoon. Te color is very nice daily wear brown shade. And it stays on for 3-4hours without fading.

It is very very pigmented that you just have to swipe it once and you are ready to rock. Even the staying power of the lipstick is very good it stays on lips for good 3-4 hours and then it starts fading evenly. The lipstick has jojoba and aloe vera extracts which make it more smooth and moisturizing.

My Take on Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick- Velvet Crush:

The color is very beautiful pinkish brown shade with mauve undertones. it has some sparkles added to it , but the sparkles are not very shimmery or over the top it just adds some sheen to the lipcolor. This color is good to be worn in winters and will suit almost everyone. The finishing is glossy as are all lipsticks from the “Moisture Extreme” range.

The lipsick is true to its name , it is indeed moisture extreme that you need not to apply any lip balm on your lips before applying this range of lipstick. The lipstick will provide deep moisture to your lips. The lipstick is unbelievable smooth and creamy.

Pigmentation of the lipstick is simply great, one swipe and you are done with it. The packaging is opaque and sturdy, you can carry it in your purse without any worries. You can make out the color from its packaging shade. 

The sad part is that it doesn't stay for more than 3.5 hours, and the color transfers to the tea cup etc., that is because of its super creamy texture i think.

PARACHUTE ACVANCED BODY LOTION WITH COCONUT MILK : REVIEW

As you all know that its extremly cold in Chandigarh right now... *freezing*. On my recent visit to Best Price i picked this body lotion to sooth my dry skin ( skin gets more dry in this season).

My Take On Parachute Body lotion for Dry Skin:

The body lotion comes n a sky blue curvy bottle with a flip top cap. The packaging is travel friendly. I loved the texture and fragrance of the body lotion.The body lotion has got coconut in it, and the fragrance is something like coconut. The fragrance in not on the top or overpowering, its pleasant and soothing. it stays for an hour or so.

The consistency of the body lotion is good, not at all runny, it needs a minute massage to get absorbed completely. Its non-greasy and very refreshing. When the body lotion gets absorbed completely the skin feels really soft and supple. It provides constant hydration to the skin... i apply it in thr morning and skin feels comfortable the whole day,, but if i wash my hands i need to reapply it. It works for great for my arms and legs as well.

Pros of Parachute Advansed Soft Touch Body Lotion For Dry Skin:

1. Skin feels soft and supple.
2. Consistency is Good
3. Keeps my skin hydrated for 4-5 hours.
4. Fragrance is nice.
5. Curvy packaging,very convenient to hold.

Cons of Parachute Advansed Soft Touch Body Lotion For Dry Skin:

1.  Needs a minute massage to get it absorbed completely.

I didn't notice any con other than this.

Whenever i apply this LB, my lips stay hydrated for a very long time, it gets absorbed quickly but the effect stays for a really long time.  I apply it before i go to bed at night and i get smooth and supple lips in the morning. I just Love Love the Fragrance of this Lip Balm, unfortunately my hubby didn't like it at all.

1. Constant Hydration
2. Smells Divine

CONS OF FOREST ESSENTIALS LIP BALM  KOKUM BUTTER & HONEY:

Overall i am loving this LB. Would recommend this to all those who need to reapply their LB again and again, try this this will help you a lot as it provides constant hydration.
